Public Announcement: County Borough Council Establishes New Rates

Limerick, December 18, 1903 – In accordance with the decisions made during a Special Meeting convened on December 17, 1903, the Council of the County Borough wishes to inform the public of the introduction of updated rates. These rates, effective from October 1, 1903, to April 1, 1904, are outlined as follows: an Improvement Rate of two shillings and tenpence per pound, a General Purposes Rate of tenpence per pound, and a Domestic Water Rate of fourpence per pound. These rates will be applicable to assessable properties situated within the County Borough of Limerick.

Elabourated breakdowns of the aforementioned rates can be found at the Office of the Corporation Treasurer, conveniently situated at the Town Hall on Rutland Street. We extend an open invitation to ratepayers to peruse these detailed statements at their leisure.

This official notification is disseminated on December 18, 1903, and is signed by WM M NOLAN, who serves as the Town Clerk of the County Borough of Limerick.
