
A meeting of the National Holiday Committee was held yesterday at the Town Hall, with the Reverend T. Lee, President of the Limerick Branch of the Gaol League, presiding. The committee discussed and finalized arrangements for a public procession to commemorate the occasion. Additionally, a Vigilance Committee was appointed.
In a show of unity, all shopkeepers have unanimously agreed to close their establishments on St. Patrick’s Day. Furthermore, a delegation was formed to meet with the Markets and Fairgrounds Syndicate, urging them not to hold the upcoming Garryowen versus Constitution rugby match in the Munster Cup competition. The committee expressed concerns that the match would interfere with the planned celebrations.
