Reverend Father Magner, a native of the county and Consultor General to the Redemptorist Order, made a noteworthy return to Limerick on Friday night after arriving from Rome. Accompanied by the Superior General, Father Magner preached at the morning and evening services on Sunday at the Redemptorist Church, Mount St. Alphonsus.

Father Magner spent several years on a mission in Limerick and was held in high regard by the community. He served as the Spiritual Director of the Arch-Confraternity of the Holy Family and held the position of Rector of the Community for a significant period. Since his return to Limerick for a brief visit, he has received numerous congratulatory messages from his old friends and acquaintances.
