In accordance with the powers vested in us by the Shop Hours Act, 1904, the County Borough Council of Limerick hereby presents the following draft Closing Order:
Closing Time: On Thursdays, all shops within the City of Limerick engaging in the following trades shall close at two o’clock p.m.: Drapery and Kindred Trades (including the Boot Trade and the Merchant Tailoring Trade), the Cycle Trade, the China Trade, the Jewellery Trade, the Stationery and Booksellers’ Trade, the Musical Instruments Trade, and the Pawnbroking Trade.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the aforementioned County is in the process of creating Poor Rates on the property rateable within the designated Districts.
For the ordinary expenditure of the said districts, the following rates in the pound have been established for the year ending 31st March, 1906:

In respect of Union charges: 4s 1d
GLIN
In respect of County charges: 4s 0d
In respect of Union charges: 6s 7d
KILMALLOCK
In respect of County charges: 2s 4d
In respect of Union charges: 4s 2d
LIMERICK
In respect of County charges: 3s 2d
In respect of Union charges: 5s 2d
MITCHELSTOWN
In respect of County charges: 2s 1d
In respect of Union charges: 3s 9d
NEWCASTLE

Additionally, special poundage rates for separate charges have been added to the above general poor rates for specific areas. The Rate Books will be available for inspection at the County Council offices between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the following fourteen days, excluding Sundays and bank holidays.
