Discontinuation of Sunday Evening Train Disrupts Postal Services in Abbeyfeale

The recent decision to discontinue the Sunday evening train service between Tralee and Limerick has caused significant disorganization in the postal system of West Limerick and neighboring areas of Rerry. This situation raises serious concerns about the efficiency of the postal authorities’ methods.

Letters posted in Abbeyfeale at five minutes past three in the afternoon on Sundays will now experience delays until the 1st of July, before reaching important centres such as Cork, Tralee, Waterford, and others. This extended delivery time poses a considerable inconvenience for residents in Brosna, Rockchapel, Knocknagashel, Mountcollins, and nearby regions.

The change in transportation arrangements has left the postal service in these districts far behind the messenger services of even distant locations like middle-Africa or Patagonia. The impact of this decision is evident, as postal services struggle to maintain their efficiency in the affected areas.
