Accessibility
Emerald Archives aims to make its historical material usable by the widest practical audience. Pages are designed with readable text, clear headings, consistent navigation, strong contrast and responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Buttons and links should remain easy to identify and operate, and important information should not depend on decorative effects alone. Historical scans and third party material can present accessibility challenges, but we will continue improving presentation wherever practical. Visitors who encounter a barrier are encouraged to use Contact Us and identify the page, device and difficulty so the problem can be investigated.
